Zandy hiking in the mountains

Our Ultimate Mountain Hiking Packing List

Heading off on a hike in the mountains? Fantastic! We’re so excited for you.

Now, what to pack?

Hiking for a backpacking trip through the mountains requires a lot of thought and striking the right balance. You need to be prepared for variable and cold weather, but you also don’t want to carry too much.

We’ve done over 40+ multi-day hikes, mostly in cold alpine environments. And after much trial and error, we’ve refined our packing list to a tee and we’re pretty proud of it.

So, if you’re heading off on a hike in the mountains, check out our packing list below. This is the list of what we take for all the mountain hikes featured on our blog.
